On Tuesday, November 24 the Bag ‘n Hand food pantry provided 352 families, arriving in 250 vehicles, a box of groceries with a choice of a turkey or a ham and a pie for their Thanksgiving meal. The total Thanksgiving meal cost $8,500.
Thank you to a whole lot of people with big hearts, who work together making it possible to share the joy of the Thanksgiving meal with folks in our community.
Some of these people are the volunteers who transport, package, and distribute the boxes of food to our neighbors while working from the chilly north parking lot of St. John’s. Some are the church staff, who keep the pantry running. Some are the many partners who share the gift of funds, enabling the purchase of the food. Some are the folks at the El Dorado market, who order and store all the food. So many people make the Thanksgiving meal possible – Thank you.
